Station Manager: Patrick Russell Burton
One of the original core members of TritonTV, Patrick “Russ” Burton is loving every second of his job as Station Manager. Russ began his career in entertainment dancing ballet at the tender age of 7. Since then, he has discovered and developed a number of hobbies including theatre, animation, writing, game programming, music, comedy, tv and film, and going by both his first and middle name to confuse and annoy people.
In his teens, he dedicated a large portion of his life to the sport of Fencing, in which he became a US national champion in 2008 (Epee). During his freshman year at UCSD, he made an experimental transition into the TV/Film world through his Mockumentary Series Home Suite Home, and almost immediately fell in love with the craft of video production. He now pursues a career as an Actor, Director, and Producer for film and TV, his personal goal to one day have his own series on HBO. In February 2011, Burton released the short film Je Pense-que C’est L’amour, which he commonly refers to as his “best work so far”. Recently, he teamed up with mad scientist and former roommate David Govea to win second place in Mozilla Labs Demoparty 2011, an international creative programming competition. He has worked as a cinematographer and photographer for Our Time and covered their “Buy Young” Launch Summit at the White House in Washington, DC, his footage from the event featured on Fox News the following day. Few earthly pleasures bring Patrick more joy than making videos, especially when he gets to make them with his friends. He hopes you enjoy the TritonTV experience as much as he and the rest of the TritonTV crew enjoy bringing it to you!
